Akron Recycling Center recycles new overstock and used empty printer cartridges (inkjet, laser, toner, fax). We collect empty/overstock cartridges to raise money for local charities like Haven of Rest. We collect empty cartridges (small or large quantities) from residential, companies, banks, lawyers, hospitals, Fortune 100/500/1000 companies across the United States and Canada, and even Europe and Africa. Over 48 million toner cartridges and 238 million inkjet cartridges were consumed in the United States alone in the year 2000. It's estimated that over 90% of these cartridges were thrown away.
Recycling toner and inkjet cartridges will save millions of cubic feet of non biodegradable material from filling our landfills. In addition, each toner cartridge that is recycled conserves the equivalent of 3 quarts of oil!
